We love how events give us the opportunity to build relationships.
We do not take for granted the honor and responsibility that comes with being invited into a couple’s wedding day. We believe in dependability and consistency. We value thoughtful connection, intentional service and impactful experiences. We have the creative expertise to conceptualize and build your dream event. We lead with our knowledge and use that perspective in guiding us to focus on the feel, function, and flow.

We’re Partners, Best Friends, Husband & Wife
We started dating back in 2011. Our first date was on Erick’s sailboat in Maryland, so it was only fitting that we married with the Chesapeake Bay as our backdrop on August 16, 2014. Choosing to name our company Eight Sixteen, after our wedding date, is another way we wanted to show our commitment to our marriage and devotion to this industry.

We’re Parents
Having our own business has allowed us to tailor our life to our family’s needs. We value our time with our twin boys, Wyatt and Tiller. There are stresses (with both) and we have to hustle a little more, but we like the challenge and we are happier pushing the limits of parenting, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

We’ve got the Experience
With 9 years of marriage and over 15 years of event experience under our belt, we know a thing or two. Erick’s background started in banquets with Marriott and continued until he was a Director of Food and Beverage. Mallory’s start in the event world began with Marriott as well. She now owns a successful wedding planning business.

We're Home
While Erick was born and raised in Charlottesville, our family only just moved here as a family in 2020. Even in that short amount of time, Charlottesville has quickly found a place in our hearts and we know this is the place we want to watch our kids grow as well as our business.
